Privacy & Data Handling

Last updated: 2026. This page explains how Voxly handles your data, especially the voiceprint information involved in custom voice cloning, and the reference and generated images involved in AI image generation.

  1. Your sign-up email and password (stored encrypted).
  2. Subscription status (via the Creem payment platform).
  3. Synthesis usage (character counts) for free-quota accounting.
  4. The reference audio you upload when cloning a voice (see below).
  5. The reference images you upload and the images we generate for image generation — we do not store either (see “Image generation” below).

Your voice is sensitive biometric data. We process it only when you voluntarily use the “voice clone” feature and explicitly consent. The reference audio is stored encrypted in isolated object storage and used solely to generate your cloned voice.

We never use your voiceprint for any other purpose and never share it with third parties. Deleting a cloned voice also permanently removes its reference audio.

  1. Delete any custom voice and its audio at any time.
  2. Close your account and erase associated data.
  3. Ask questions about, or withdraw consent for, voiceprint processing.

To protect your privacy, Voxly does not store any audio or text you generate on our servers. Each clip lives only in your browser and disappears when you close or refresh the page. Please download and save it locally before you go.

(Image generation is being optimized and is temporarily unavailable. The following describes its planned data-handling approach.)

AI image generation differs from voice cloning: we do not store any images on our servers. The reference image you upload is passed only in memory for that single generation request and discarded immediately afterward — it is never written to disk, a database, or object storage. The image we generate is returned to your browser as a base64 string and exists only temporarily in your browser; it disappears when you close or refresh the page.

This means we cannot recover any generated image for you — please download and save it locally before you leave. Because images never pass through our persistent storage or any CDN cache, your reference image and generated content leave no copy on Voxly's side. Generation is performed by the upstream model provider (gpt-image-2), whose built-in content-safety screening blocks policy-violating content during generation; blocked content is neither generated nor stored by us.

Voxly processes subscriptions and payments through the Creem payment platform; applicable taxes (e.g. VAT) are collected by Creem as the Merchant of Record. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime (access continues until the end of the current billing period). See our Refund Policy.
